State plans to grow by 12 per cent using energy and saving water

The state of Andhra Pradesh has a goal. It wants to be the top state in India when it comes to Climate Action and Sustainable Development. Andhra Pradesh wants to grow in a way that’s good for the environment and the economy.
A report was released that talks about this goal. The report was made by Energy Efficiency Services Limited and the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission. The Chief Secretary, G Sai Prasad said that this goal is what the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu wants. He wants Andhra Pradesh to grow by 12 per cent using energy and saving water.
G Sai Prasad said that saving energy is very important to stop Climate Change. He said that saving energy can help a lot to combat Climate Change. He is sure that the central government and the state government working together will be an example for India to follow.
Andhra Pradesh will use energy-efficient technologies. These technologies were made by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency Services Limited and Convergence Energy Services Limited.
It includes areas namely administration, urban development, small businesses and welfare institutions.
Andhra Pradesh currently generates 21,457 MW of power. Renewable energy makes up 37 per cent of this power.
The state wants to increase its use of energy. It also wants to increase its cover from 30 per cent to 37 per cent by 2030 and to 50 per cent by 2047.
The state government has a plan to use energy and save resources. This plan is part of the states term economic planning.
Officials think that this plan will help Andhra Pradesh grow in a way which will make Andhra Pradesh a leader in Climate Action and Sustainable Development.
