The Hindi Heartland has a very rich repository of tourist sites. In recent years the government at the helm has made efforts to blend the nuance of environment conservation with the rich tourism resource of the state.
In order to blend both and take eco – tourism to the next level, funds amounting to ₹1 crore have been sanctioned out of the ₹3 crore provisioned for the current financial year to successfully execute activities under the Eco-Tourism Board.
Addressing the media, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh shared this information. Elaborating his vision, he shared – various programs are being implemented to promote eco-tourism. The objective of eco-tourism is to provide tourists with an enhanced experience without disturbing nature, while simultaneously creating local income sources without disrupting the lives of local residents.
Spelling out the figure, he added – a budget of ₹50 crore has been allocated for eco-tourism development in the 2025-26 financial year to develop and beautify tourist sites across various districts.
Once the ball gets rolling in terms of the funds, the path to creation of high-quality tourist amenities and infrastructure will enhance the visitor experience and cater to tourist movement further bolstering development work on 23 projects.
The Tourism Minister shared as part of eco-tourism initiatives, approximately 250 members of the ‘Yuva Parivahan Club’ (Youth Transport Club) were taken on excursions on different days aboard the Vistadome coaches operating on the Bichhia-Mailani-Nanpara railway route.
